...Well Volvrat I has passed away and I am now breaking her for parts :(

So bring on Volvrat II!! :D :D The spirit of the rat shall live on!!! Volvrat II has already gained the name of Zippy Lea too :)

Sopher's Sir Volvie now has his other half back again now!! :lol

Went to auction yesterday, and picked up a 1997 Volvo 940 SE wagon, for £325!!!!!!!! 1 previous owner, 145k on the clock, really happy with it. Got a few issues with her though, like the tail gate handle doesn't work on the outside, and some of the lights on the dash don't work, but otherwise, it's all pretty sweet.

Redblock turbo lump, not too bad condition. Bit tatty on the exhaust system, so that'll get ripped off and a straight through pipe will be installed, and the paintwork is pretty scratched and tatty too, so it'll all be going matt black again, but no rust this time.

Interior isn't too bad at all so will keep that as it is pretty much.

Gonna stick the 15G turbo off the 850 T5 on it as well as the manual boost controller and increase the boost a bit.

Got my sounds to stick in there too, and the roof rack to chuck up top again too :D

Best bit is, I have the whole car to get to a suitable ratty standard, by the 8th of August for Retro Rides show!! So with my days off, that works out as 5 full days for:

- Respray
- ICE install
- Fitting of roof rack, air horns, steelies and other bits

And hopefully time for a straight through exhaust to be sorted out too :)

SWeeeT....
So after what SpaZ told me on Sunday....got me thinking . . . . about Volvo intake system parts re-use/adaption
Has the previous OvLoV got an intake butterfly valve that could be modified for use as a screamer exhaust valve/flap....???

Yea, but why will I need a screamer pipe when I'm gonna run a straight through exhaust? :lol ;)

So far today, I've been really busy, but not much to show though. I've physically fitted my subwoofers and amps (nothing connected yet), fixed the tailgate handle, done a better bodge fix on the radiator connector that is broken (god bless gaffa tape!) so hopefully that holds water better now, fitted an induction kit and started stripping down the door cards ready for my speakers.

Tomorrow, I'll hopefully have the speakers fitted to the doors and maybe get the stereo in shortly too :D Waiting for a fascia adaptor to arrive :)

Would be easy, if they fitted :lol Old one is an 850, this is a 940, totally different door cards, but the speakers are on an MDF mount though so just gotta transfer that across. Just a real ball ache though with regards to running all the wiring again though :(

Hahaa, Spaz, you spaz for hassling the wrong Crazy! :lol

Kayll, I ain't changed the hoods over cos they're not the same car. The old one is an 850, and this is a 940. The hood is a different length cos this one is RWD so has a north south engine, whereas the old one was FWD.

Gonna get my steelies on there tomorrow before work, gonna try and get the speakers on there too. Still unsure on how I'm actually gonna mount the buggers though, not quite as much space in the new doors, but I'll find a way :)
