Just recived this email ( If you cant see the pictures please tell me )

Quote:
These tires are made in South Carolina .

SEE THROUGH TIRES
Radical new tire design by Michelin.
The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

Image

Yes, those are spoke-like connections to the inner part of the tire from the outside tread 'wrap!'
The next picture shows how odd it looks in motion

Image

Makes you wonder how the ride feels doesn't it?

Image

Image

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.

Just think of the impact on existing technology:
A. no more air valves.
B. no more air compressors at gas stations.
C no more repair kits.
D. no more flats.

These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin.

:eek

I can see them and they are crazy!!!!

With every good point about them there must be bad, right? Wont the tyre fold if you brake really really hard?

So......................if you do a burnout for long enough????? You dont have a blow out you end up with lots of little rubber paddles touching the road.............must be good for acceleration over wet roads. :lol

they are airless tyres to eliminate punctures and in turn means your tyres last longer

From a purely aesthetic point of view I can't help thinking they look pants. I'm sure they're amazing technologically but I just don't 'feel' them.

Looks cool but no. Id rather pay £10 to get a puncture repaired.

its called the tweel. i work for Michelin and have been out and about in the roads with these. they are far from real world application they have a considerable vibration issue if you want more info look here.

You could have that same problem now with normal tyres.
