right so ive been out to the bimmer tonight and tried to start it, it turns over you can smell diesel but it dosent start.
im thinking glow plugs... that and a new battery cause i ran the current one out with like two 20sec turnovers... lol
so yer im gunna try do the job myself, as the car has no tax or insurance... so i cant get it to a garage even if i want to!

at the same time im gunna do the gaskets fot the intercooler and sh1te, fuel filter air filter and belts... just a bit of tlc
oh and a new battery hahah thats all hapening next week, along with the colour change.

my dad gave me his junk shed to work in aswell and all the junk, along with two cast iron baths (thats money in the pocket :tu)
and its warm, dust free, bit of carpet just a chill out zone for working on the car :D

watch this space for a mega update next week!!

peace :chill

You dont need to tax for an MOT mate so if you took it for work at garage and had it up for MOT would be able to drive it there obv with insurance tho, wish I had a place like your dad gave you tho for workin on ya car lol

but if you stick your face next to the exhaust all you can smell is diesel,
and after youve had it running for half an hour its fine to turn off and it'll fire up streight away...

its really wierd tho, ive had it running tonight, took about 40 secons of turning over (with the jump leads) and it just magically went!!
and after that it just fires up sweet as a nut first time... ive had it running for an hour, left it for 3 hours, gone back and it still starts a dream.
im gunna change the glow plugs, cant do much harm it probably needs them doing! hahah
