This is my 1990 3s-gte mr2 that i have owned for a year now. im currently about halfway through my paintjob ( hence why all the trim is missing ) I am painting the car with a roller and killrust antirust paint with a paint scheme based on the Yokosuka MXY-7 suicide plane. it sitll needs heaps more work before its is finished but when it is it should look alright hopefully. modifications so far include, 3 inch turbo back exaust with catalytic converters removed, pod filter for the awesome intake noise it makes, new boost gauge because stock mr2 one is usless and lowered tein springs.
Image
any ideas or advice is helpful as this project isnt really well planned and things on the car are changing all the time im just having fun with it Image

This looks awsome! Try and find a roof rack. Think that would look pretty kool on a MR2

Love the primered look...Maybe choose a theme & make a statement with bold wheel colour..Red or orange maybe?? Must teach myself to photoshop one day :|
Mazda MX3 boot rack FTW :) Was looking at them on E Bay recently possibly for my Mitsubishi FTO.
Love how these little go karts drive,Mk1 & Mk2 have passed through my hands, not before I ragged them around for a few days..

@ohm im not to sure about painting the wheels red or orange? i was thinking possible flat black or just leaving them as is becasue i may just replace them and the mx5 boot rack would look awesome. @Tantrum yup kiwi im in auckland at the moment, also i love the super carry its great ive always wanted one haha

About to paint the Sakura on the side my car which was painted on the kamikaze planes before a suicide mission, which seems suitible for a car that feels like its always trying to kill me. Will upload photos when thats done, also fitting a hks ssqv for more annoying pshhhhhhhh noises :lol Image

That flower would look sickkk... Great idea. I like the primer looking paint and rust, it has a clean but still ratty look to it. I agree with Satan about the roof rack. I like what you have now, so if it were my project I'd progress slowly and deliberately. Looking forward to some updates.
:rlftw
Edit - I was also going to ask if you're doing the color to match the plane, then actually read your post instead of just looking at the pics.

haha naa we tryed recording it today with my friends iphone but its to loud and the sound destorts but we will try again with his actual video recorder sometime.

it is in this vid but its before i started ratting it properly but it shows what the car looked like before, its at 45 seconds and 2,57 seconds i opened up the front and put in a paper engine because everyone was openning ther engine bays. I had also dented it the day before so i repaired the best way possible, with a giant sticking plaster :lol
